Extension of Public Comment Period for Polychlorinated Biphenyls

On 13 April 2012, California’s Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) published a notice in the California Regulatory Notice Register proposing an amendment to Title 27, California Code of Regulations, section 25705, to update the No Significant Risk Level for polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), and an amendment to section 25805 to establish a Maximum Allowable Dose Level for PCBs. Publication of the notice initiated a 45 day public comment period that was scheduled to close on 28 May 2012. OEHHA has received a request from the Mateel Environmental Justice Foundation to extend the public-comment period. OEHHA hereby extends the public comment period on these proposed regulatory amendments to 5:00 p.m., Monday, 11 June 2012.
