Registration open – NICNAS Reforms Consultation Workshop
The National Industrial Chemicals Notification and Assessment Scheme (NICNAS) have released details of reform consultation workshops being held in Melbourne and Sydney. The reforms aim to streamline the assessment process for industrial chemicals to reduce the regulatory burden on industry, whilst maintaining safety standards. Details of the workshops are as follows:

- Conclusions from Consultation Paper 1;
- Submissions, workshop feedback and outcomes;
- Further information about proposed changes;
- Discussion of Consultation Paper 2;
- Key changes proposed to the Australian Inventory of Chemical Substances (AICS);
- Protections for confidential commercial information and what NICNAS will publish;
- Secondary notification and statutory conditions associated with chemicals;
- Risk matrices and data requirements
