ECHA changes two substance names on registry of SVHC intentions

31-Aug-2012 The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has changed the names of two substances on the registry of intentions for the nomination of chemicals as substances of very high concern (SVHCs) from ambiguous common names to one which more accurately reflect the substances. Basic lead sulphate is now lead oxide sulphate (EC no. 234-853-7) and dibasic lead phthalate is now [Phthalato(2-)]dioxotrilead (EC no. 273-688-5).
