Evaluation of industry’s and ECHA’s work on supply chain communication: time to start using the tools

An external evaluation on how industry, Member States and the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) have improved supply chain communication in 2013-16 through the CSR/ES Roadmap and Exchange Network on Exposure Scenarios (ENES) is now available. The key finding was that industry now has improved tools at its disposal, such as sector use maps, to improve safe use information communicated between manufacturers and users of chemicals. Now is the time to start using them. The evaluation also suggests how companies can further improve the communication and how ECHA and Member States can help in this from 2017 onwards.
