New consultation on the harmonised classification and labelling on the chemical anthraquinone launched

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has launched a 45-day public commenting period on the harmonised classification and labelling (CLH) proposal anthraquinone submitted by Germany. This substance is mainly used in the paper/pulp industry and as an intermediate for synthesising other chemicals. There is currently no harmonised classification for anthraquinone and the dossier submitter is proposing classification for carcinogenicity. The final date for submitting comments is 7 April 2015.
