Chemicals webpage updates and ‘no-deal’ event video

Working closely with the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) and the Environment Agency (EA), the Health & Safety Executive HSE has an important role to play in the UK’s chemicals regulatory process after Brexit. HSE’s webpage providing chemicals guidance in relation to Brexit has been updated to ensure that the agency is providing the most up-to-date information and assisting businesses to prepare for any outcome.

The Withdrawal Agreement has been concluded at a technical level and approved by the cabinet but that is still subject to ratification by the UK Parliament, the EU-27 and the European Parliament. As a responsible regulator HSE aims to provide support and advice in all outcomes. It has held several stakeholder events relating to our ‘no-deal’ guidance and envisage more taking place in the future. To find out more, please watch this video taken at our event on 10 October 2018 to see what was covered and what attending stakeholders had to say about our work so far.
