Vietnam aims to complete national chemical inventory by 2019

Vietnam is aiming to complete the compilation of its national chemical inventory by 2019. Funded by the Vietnamese government, and backed by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), the Vietnam Chemicals Agency (Vinachemia) published a draft inventory in March 2017 containing ~ 5000 substances. Following publication of the final inventory, substances which are not listed will be considered ‘new’ chemical substances, and will require registration prior to manufacture/importation.
