Withdrawal of support for 3 active substances from the BPR Review Programme

The following 3 active substance/product-type combinations are no longer considered to be supported in the Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR) Review Program: Esfenvalerate [CAS# 66230-04-4] Product type 18 (insecticides, acaricides and products to control other arthropods) Dichlofluanid [CAS# 1085-98-9] Product type 7 (film preservatives) Citriodiol [CAS# 42822-86-6] Product type 19 (repellents or attractants) The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has published an open invitation which allows interested companies to take over the role of participant for these active substance/product-type combinations. Interested companies have until 6 October 2017 to complete the notification procedure. After this time, an application for evaluation of the active substance/product-type will still be possible, however this application would be as a new active substance and biocidal products containing the active substance would need to remain off the market until an approval decision was made.
