Cross-sectional study on occupation health in a large-scale state-owned metallurgical enterprise
During this study, the author examined the occupational hazards associated with a large-scale state owned metallurgical enterprise. The type and degree of occupational hazard factors in the production environment were identified, and a scientific basis for developing the prevention strategies of occupational diseases was provided. The occupational hazard factors in this enterprise were monitored in 2010. The total qualified rate of harmful factors in the production environment was 87.87%. The qualified rate of dust, toxicant, noise and radiation heat was 86.09%, 99.38%, 76.88% and 93.75%, respectively. The author concluded that the results indicated that the qualified rate of occupational hazard factors in this enterprise was high, but there still exist occupational hazards. It is necessary to carry out the monitoring of occupational hazard factors and strengthen the health surveillance, to ensure the health of workers.
