Method for prediction of developing occupational malignant skin neoplasm in workers of fiberglass industry by TP53 genotyping

In this study, the authors discuss the prognostic criteria of developing malignant skin growth in fiberglass production workers using molecular-genetic markers. Thus, DNA is recovered from peripheral venous blood for the purpose of analysing dup16bp polymorphism of intron 3 and Arg72Pro polymorphism of exon 4 of the TP53 gene. If observing the combinations of the *Arg/*Pro and *W/*dup16 genotypes, a risk of developing malignant skin growth is predicted. The authors conclude that the *Arg/*Arg and *W/*W genotypes enables to predict resistance to the onset of the disease.
