Occupational exposure to anticancer drugs and reproductive outcomes

Several studies have demonstrated that exposure to antineoplastic drugs can cause toxic effects on reproductive health as well as carcinogenic effects. Numerous studies have corroborated that hospital workers are exposed to these drugs. Nurses and other hospital workers are exposed to antineoplastic drugs during daily activities. During this meta analysis, data reported suggested a strong association between occupational exposure and reproductive outcome (fertility and increased poor neonatal outcomes). There is also a significant association between ectopic pregnancy and exposure to antineoplastic drugs.
